Bill Gentle (left) and Michael Martin visit while trotting in pouring rain. I was attending a clinic in Wyoming taught by Kevin Meyer, and a thunderstorm barreled over the mountains just as we were finishing working cattle. We hurried back to camp to dodge the lightning, and as my mare trotted along, I shot photos of riders in front. I kept my camera semi-dry by holding it under my slicker as much as possible. Despite the inclement weather, everyone seemed to enjoy trotting and loping in the rain. It sure resulted in cool photos.
