Anna Fallini trails two Hereford cows across the Twin Springs Slough near Tonopah, Nevada. Her family has run cattle in the area since 1864, and the ranch spans 664,000 acres. The entire herd traces to the original Hereford cows that Giovanni Fallini used to establish the ranch several years after emigrating from Italy.
