Steve Alcorn and his Percheron team deliver mineral and range cubes to cows on the Hall Ranch in southern Oklahoma. I spent a day in the winter of 2007 with Alcorn, taking photos and asking questions for an article that appeared in the November 2007 issue of Western Horseman. “It’s good to slow down; go the cows’ pace,” he said. “When you’re not doing that windshield ranching, you’ll start seeing more things. It makes you look closer at those cows.”
