This photo always grabs my attention. I shot it in 2007 during a branding at Spade Ranches in West Texas. Because it’s backlit and desaturated in color, it has a vintage feel. And I like how the gray horse stands out against all the red cows. He and his rider look like they’ve done this job together hundreds of times.
