I wasn't banking on snowfall when I booked a trip to Montana in early October several years ago. It was sort of a nice surprise, as it created some unexpected photo ops, like this shot of Randy Rieman ponying a horse down his driveway. Rieman and I had plans to get photos for an article on introducing a horse to roping. Fortunately, the snow had melted in his round corral where we did the photo shoot, and the sun came out. The article appeared in the January 2010 issue of Western Horseman.I wasn’t banking on snowfall when I booked a trip to Montana in early October several years ago.
