A cowboy at Bar G Feedyard in Hereford, Texas, talks to an unseen truck driver before penning stocker calves that arrived at dawn. I liked the challenge of photographing a location that is not typically photogenic. I found that at the right time of day, a feedlot offers beautiful scenes, especially when you capture the hardworking men and women who ride the pens every day.
