The World’s Greatest Horseman competition is one of my favorite events to watch. Superior bridle horses and expert horsemen compete in four events: cutting, reining, steer stopping and cow work. It’s the type of event where you’d better have you AutoFocus on Continuous and your Drive Mode on High Speed, because things happen fast. I shot this image of Phillip Ralls and Call Me Mitch circling their cow at the 2018 World’s Greatest Horseman, hosted in Fort Worth, Texas, by the National Reined Cow Horse Association. The duo won the reserve title and has earned more than $170,000 in cutting and reined cow horse competition.
