For legendary ranch horse breeder Craig Haythorn, winning the Top Horse and Top Remuda awards at the Western Heritage Classic is about as good as it gets. The fourth-generation rancher rode his sorrel gelding Winchester in the two-performance Western Heritage Classic ranch rodeo. Craig cites the horse’s quiet demeanor, strength and cow sense as the reasons why he was favored by the judges who deemed him top horse.
