There are a handful of stallions who I have felt privileged to photograph. Sadly, one of them died December 9, 2015. Playgun was humanely euthanized due to complications from old age. He was shown successfully in cutting competition by Dick Pieper in non-pro competition and by Jody Galyean in the open division. He went on to become one of the top sires in the industry under the ownership of Dick and Brenda Pieper of Marrietta, Oklahoma. His foals won big money in cutting, reined cow horse, ranch versatility and other events.
