Sometimes, nature trumps anything that can be done in Photoshop. I was photographing a roundup on the IX Ranch in Montana for an article that appeared in the December 2017 issue of Western Horseman. The entire otherworldly scene was a mix of pinks, oranges and purples. The rising sun was filtering through the clouds, and the snow-covered landscape was reflecting those rose-colored hues. Did I pump up saturation or add a filter through Photoshop? Not one bit.
