Four years ago (May 26, 2012), the Working Ranch Cowboys Association hosted its first Championship Ranch Bronc Riding in Amarillo, Texas. Top cowboys from 11 Western states competed in the event, which offered a total of $27,000 in cash and prizes. The wind was barreling through the outdoor arena, but the stands were packed anyway. A palomino bronc got caught up in the excitement, as well, rearing up before the chute gate was opened.
