WH: Growing up on a ranch, did you ever dream you would be playing in the top most level of professional football?
BP: Growing up as a little kid I always dreamed of playing at the Super Bowl, and now that it is here. It is a dream come true.
WH: As a young man, what did you hope to do for a living?
BP: At a very young age I knew I wanted to play football in the NFL. I knew my dad had played college football for Colorado State and I wanted to follow in his foot steps.
WH: Do you feel growing up on a ranch and roping helped you when it came to playing football?
BP: Growing up on the ranch really helped me to develop a good work ethic, in doing a job and doing it to the best of my ability and doing it right. As far as team roping, I think that really helped me to develop a competitive drive and mental toughness.
WH: What are the differences or similarities in preparing to compete in a rodeo versus preparing for a football game?
BP: I say preparing for a football has a few more details to it. In having to know what a defense will play in different situations, and knowing how to adjust to it.
WH: What are your plans for life after football?
BP: Life after football will be laid back, hahaha. I plan someday to have my own ranch and take care of that. I would also love to start steer wrestling and rodeoing professionally, hopefully make the finals (National Finals Rodeo) some day. That is all when football is over. Right now, football has my full attention.
WH: Who’s going to win the game today?
BP: I think it is going to be a great game. Both teams are very good. I’m Big Blue Through and Through, think that explains it all.
