Western Heritage Classic 2020 Cancelled

Western Heritage Classic cancels its 2020 event.

April 8, 2020

This has been a difficult and unmarked trail our world has been on these last few months. It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the 2020 Western Heritage Classic has been cancelled. The leadership of this beloved event put much thought and research into this decision, reviewed local and state officials’ recommendations, considered the current regional situation and made the best decision for the community, participants and attendees.

But the trail doesn’t end there, the Western Heritage Classic will return with resilience, one of the truest characteristics of cowboys and the western way of life, May 6-9, 2021. The 37th Annual Western Heritage Classic will be one to remember as the Ranch Rodeo will take place for the first time in the state-of-the-art Taylor Telecom Arena.

The Western Heritage Classic has become the treasured event that it is because of the love and support it has received from fans from both near and far. With the cancellation there are two options for everyone that has already committed funds to this event whether through tickets, rv reservations, entry fees, booth reservations, sponsorship or other fees. You may choose to have your purchase refunded, this process will begin Thursday morning and you may not see the refund in your account for up to two weeks due to credit card processing. We are also offering our patrons the opportunity to donate these funds back to the Expo Center of Taylor County, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, Western Heritage Classic operates as a committee of this organization. You will receive a full 501(c)(3) tax exempt donation receipt for your donation. IF YOU CHOOSE TO GRACIOUSLY DONATE THESE FUNDS TO THE WESTERN HERITAGE CLASSIC PLEASE CONTACT OUR OFFICES BY 5 PM, WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2020 by emailing [email protected]. IF YOU CHOOSE TO HAVE YOUR PURCHASE REFUNDED NO CALL OR CONTACT IS REQUIRED AS WE WILL AUTOMATICALLY BEGIN THE REFUND PROCESS THURSDAY MORNING.

Best wishes and health as we all continue to traverse this unknown time and may we band together to finish this journey strong.

Happy Easter and God Bless you.
