Problem Solving – Marty Marten

A Quality ReleaseProblem Solving

Rather than thinking that they are turned loose when the halter comes off, I want my horses to understand that turned loose is when I walk away from them. They are then free to go wherever they want. Therefore, after removing the halter, I keep my right arm over the neck and stand with the horse for a while, then walk away. I never want a horse to pull or walk away from me while taking off the halter. Turning your horse loose with quality will have a positive effect, carrying over to catching next time. It’s the little things that make the difference.
