  1. I was reminiscing with my 97-year-old mother today about growing up in the 1960’s, how I dreamed of having a horse of my own someday. I poured over the advertisements in Western Horseman magazine every year before the holidays, hoping that this would be the Christmas that I unwrapped a box filled with one of the complete saddle and tack sets I had seen in your pages. I am almost seventy years old now, but still feel that same sense of excitement and possibility whenever I see your magazine cover. I am so pleased to find out that you are still going strong after 90 years. Maybe tomorrow will be the day I find that package under my Christmas tree!
